Hi everyone! My name in Morgan and I’m a third year here at SDSU. I’m majoring in Sustainability so I’m super exited to take a writing class that focuses on the environment.

I’m originally from Crested Butte, Colorado, where I grew up surrounded by mountains and the outdoors which is something that I’ll always be grateful for. I love the mountains and everything about it. Especially skiing. I’ve been skiing my entire life and it’s something I definitely miss the most being here in San Diego. The photo above is of my dog, Calvin, on one of our camping trips. I love spending time outdoors with my friends and family its always such a good reset from the outside world.

Choosing to go to SDSU. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love exploring new beaches and the city of San Diego. I’ve made lifelong friendships and memories that I will never take for granted. I’ve always loved the ocean ever since I was a little kid and so now living near one is a dream come true. I was super exited to find out that this class has a focus on mermaids because I honestly don’t know much about then and their history and it will be super fun and interesting to learn about especially while living in San Diego!
